Writing a Slip Note to Myself + a video 👀

May 20, 2019

Dear Self,

Today has been really annoying for you, huh? I know it has been a tough day to push through but I am here to remind you that it is okay. You know why? because you are determined. You know who told me that? Yourself 💗. Feel what you need to feel now, we can cry it out or laugh it out, scream it out or dance it out. After you do any of that, remember to breath deeply. One breathe.. two breathe.. three breathe.. that feels slightly better, right?

I am writing to you at our favorite time of the day and I have attached a visual to go along with it. It brings so much memories because this has always been our sacred time, you and I, by the window, before everyone is awake, while you are chasing for the sun to rise. You have fallen many times, but you always get up and your heart is willing to learn from it over and over again.

My dear, if after reading this you are ready to face the world again, I want to hug you. If after reading this you still need extra motivation and you want to curl up, let me hug you too. For whatever happens, I believe in you to pick it up again because you have it in you. Take however long but for now, go wash your face gently and slowly, smell the air, go outside and notice all the love that surrounds you.

.. بِسْÙ…ِ اللهِ الرَّØْÙ…ٰÙ†ِ الرَّØِÙŠْÙ…ِ

With so much love,
Myself

💜 This was one of the best self tasks I have ever done from my partaking in Aida Azlin's Consistency class. Everyone has one of those days where we just slip.. but it is always helpful to have someone or something to remind ourselves to be okay with it, especially to be kind when it happens. Whenever I experience my slip days.. I go back to reading this letter which helps me get back up quickly because the best person who can help myself is me. I hope by sharing my slip note, it could also help some of you who are experiencing something similar. There is nothing wrong with being vulnerable and soft for it is a trait that allows us to feel strongly and be connected to our inner self and everyone around us.
